Description Summary: Jorgensen Farms is made up of multiple divisions, creating a unique agritourism environment that blends organic farming with special events. The Event Assistant is an integral part of the guest experience and ensures Jorgensen standards are met. Responsibilities: Support the Event Coordinator to ensure that all necessary tasks and responsibilities are effectively managed to create a successful event Anticipate guests’ needs and to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction Assist and manage event decor items, as needed Serve, aid, and direct guests for the entirety of the event Assist with parking and provide golf cart shuttle service between the venue and parking lot Light the firepit and fireplace Maintain cleanliness and inventory of restrooms throughout the entire event Work alongside the vendors to manage the event timeline and follow venue guidelines Maintain overall event cleanliness Manage event clean up and teardown alongside Catering staff Ensure the venue is properly maintained, secured, and cleaned at the closure of the event per the closing checklist Whatever it takes to create a comfortable, welcoming, and supportive environment for all staff and guests Requirements Qualifications: Shows a high level of initiative, motivation Reliable and with strong time management skills Guest-centric and team-focused mentality Ability to lift chairs, tables, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds Technological competence Ability to work on one’s feet for at least 6 hours Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and comfortable working in any kind of weather Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues Experience in Hospitality preferred High School diploma or equivalent required Inspire a “Bring the Cows Home” Spirit
