Position Overview The Event Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue by acquiring new clients, pitching event solutions, and securing corporate projects, sponsorships, and partnerships. This role focuses on generating business opportunities, preparing proposals, presenting ideas to clients, and working closely with internal teams to convert leads into confirmed event projects. The ideal candidate is proactive, commercially driven, and confident in client pitching and closing deals. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Identify and secure new event business opportunities Generate leads through networking, outreach, and referrals Achieve sales targets and revenue goals Proposal & Pitching Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations Pitch event ideas and solutions to clients Conduct client meetings and close deals Client Management Build and maintain strong client relationships Understand client needs and provide suitable solutions Manage clients during the sales process Partnerships & Growth Explore sponsorship and partnership opportunities Develop new business channels and markets Internal Coordination Work closely with the Event Project Manager and creative team Ensure smooth handover of confirmed projects for execution Communicate client requirements clearly Qualifications & Skills Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Events, or related fields 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management Experience in events, MICE, marketing, advertising, or hospitality is an advantage Strong skills in pitching, negotiation, and client communication Ability to prepare proposals and presentations Results-driven and target-oriented mindset Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel Good communication and interpersonal skills
