Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service in the vibrant world of event hospitality? Join our team at Fairmont Banff Springs as an Event Captain Server and play a pivotal role in orchestrating unforgettable experiences for our guests. From overseeing banquet facilities to coordinating with various teams, this position offers a dynamic opportunity to lead and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Starting Rate: $19.20 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $20.20.

YOUR SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have Pro-Serve Certification.
  • Previous Food & Beverage leadership experience is an asset
  • 2 years previous serving experience required.
  • Bartending, cash handling and previous Silverware point of sale system experience is required.
  • Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, etc. for 3-12 hour shifts.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more

Responsibilities
  • Oversee banquet facilities and daily operations across 78,000+ square feet of event space, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Conference Services, Culinary, and other departments to meet timelines, dietary needs, and overall event objectives.
  • Deliver professional, engaging service while building strong relationships with guests and colleagues to create unforgettable experiences.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness, report maintenance issues, and implement process improvements while demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the Events team by fostering a culture of respect, integrity, teamwork, and accountability while embracing change and innovation.
