My client is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Event Assistant to support the planning and delivery of a wide range of events — from elegant weddings and corporate functions to unique community gatherings.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Event Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our event operations, working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure every detail is handled with care. From pre-event planning to on-the-day execution, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth, memorable, and successful events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of weddings, corporate events, and other functions
  • Develop timelines and manage schedules for event preparations and delivery
  • Assist in sales and marketing efforts to drive enquiries and bookings
  • Collaborate with teams across Dartington — guest services, food & beverage, health & safety, and more
  • Help set up, operate, and dismantle event equipment and décor
  • Provide on-site support throughout event days, ensuring exceptional service
  • Attend and contribute to weekly function sheet meetings; produce relevant documentation for internal teams
  • Support digital marketing content creation for social media and the website
  • Maintain clear communication with guests, helping manage accommodation and special requests
  • Conduct competitor analysis and build relationships with local suppliers
  • Ensure accurate event records and software (E500) are maintained and up to date
  • Contribute to branding and promotional efforts, including signage and collateral
