Position Overview
The Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) is seeking an very enthusiastic and highly organized, people person, Event Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of fundraising and community engagement events that support ARF’s mission and enhance awareness of our work. This position requires excellent coordination of volunteers, meticulous management of event logistics, and the cultivation of strong community relationships. Creative, detail-oriented individuals with a passion for animal welfare are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and participate in a diverse array of ARF events. These range from small to large events, working on a few major events each year.
· Oversee event logistics, including set-up, tear-down, and on-site volunteer supervision.
· Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, onboard, and train event volunteers.
· Lead and support a small volunteer team, including Event Leads and Event Volunteers.
· Manage the Event Coordinator email account and communicate professionally with volunteers, staff, and external stakeholders.
· Facilitate Event Team meetings and training sessions.
· Organize and track event donations, including accurate acknowledgment and proper use of donated items.
· Complete all necessary event applications and permits.
· Maintain ARF’s event and fundraising tracker with up-to-date information.
· Work with ARF coordinators to allocate volunteer resources, promote events on social media, and maximize fundraising opportunities.
· Ensure the availability of branded materials and coordinate animal attendance at events when necessary.
· Monitor and track event budgets, updating event procedures as needed.
· Ensure compliance with ARF’s policies and procedures (training provided).
· Outstanding leadership, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
· Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred; experience in event planning or fundraising is an asset.
· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
· Access to a reliable vehicle.
· Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
· Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Drive, etc.), Square Point of Sale, and Better Impact is an advantage.

Wage & Hours
· Wage: $20 per hour
· Hours: 30 hours per week
· Work Structure: Hybrid position with a flexible schedule. This does require a range of availability. Some evening and weekend availability required to attend scheduled events.
