Position Summary The Event Coordinator at AUIB will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of university events, including academic, cultural, social, and institutional functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring each event reflects and strengthens the AUIB brand and mission. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute events such as conferences, ceremonies, workshops, cultural programs, student activities, and official university functions. Collaborate with university departments, leadership, and external partners to define event goals, themes, and logistics. Manage event budgets, timelines, and resources effectively. Oversee vendor relationships, including catering, décor, audiovisual, printing, and other event-related services. Ensure compliance with university policies, health and safety standards, and cultural protocols. Coordinate event promotion in collaboration with the marketing and communications team. Prepare event materials, programs, and communications that reflect AUIB’s brand identity. Supervise on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring a smooth and professional experience. Collect feedback and evaluate event outcomes for continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. 3+ years of professional experience in event planning, preferably in higher education or corporate settings. Fluent in Arabic and English Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software/tools. Creativity and attention to detail with a strong sense of branding and presentation. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by event schedules. #LI-REMOTE Why AUIB?
