  • Knowledge of customer service practices is sufficient to provide basic information and assistance in a public setting.
  • Skill in oral communication to interact with guests in a polite, clear, and helpful manner.
  • Ability to work constructively with other employees and the public.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain confidentiality of private information.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize simple work tasks.
  • Ability to operate a golf cart.
  • Valid Class D driver’s license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a public venue, events, and hospitality setting.
  • Familiarity with Zoo programs, exhibits, and visitor amenities.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position in a variety of work environments, including both indoor office settings and outdoor areas with exposure to a range of weather conditions.
  • Tasks may occasionally require lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • The position involves periods of stationary work (sitting or standing), as well as mobility throughout the Zoo campus to support membership programs and events.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Applicants must have the ability to meet the physical requirements and work in the environmental conditions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
