So let’s take a step back and explain what Virtual Reality (VR) is first.
VR is a technology involving a headset with 3D vision and sound that allows you to feel like you are somewhere else (a virtual world). We like to describe it as being “in” a game or movie-like experience, not just watching it on a TV screen. You can look around and hear everything around you, just as if you are there. The first time you experience it, the immersion can take your breath away! The only thing that breaks the feeling of total immersion is you are not moving, but have to use a controller to move around the virtual world.
With Active Reality, we achieve full immersion! We use advanced technology and sensors in an ‘arena’ that allows you to move around as you would in ‘real life’. All experiences are multiplayer, so you and friends are in the same physical and virtual worlds. You are able to see your friends’ avatars. You can all run, walk, jump and even ‘high five’ all in the virtual world. You become fully immersed and totally forget about the ‘outside world’, it is truly mind blowing!
Active Reality is as active as using some of the gym equipment, so forget about limiting ‘screen time’, your heart will be racing, you’ll have a huge grin and you’ll be craving more.

ABOUT US:

ActiveReality (AR) are the pioneers of active location-based Virtual Reality (VR) and Virtual Reality eSports leagues.
Active Reality is a fully immersive VR experience. Players enter the AR Arena, where your body is your only controller. You are transported to a huge virtual world where you can play, compete, run, jump and even ‘high five’.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Games Master, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the whole customer experience is taken care of. From setting up new sites, looking after our tech in venues and working as a customer rep.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to get involved in our Marketing & Promotional activity.

KEY SKILLS:

• Proven experience in providing a great customer experience
• Experience with IT and an ability to quickly learn about new hardware and software
• Interest, or preferably a passion for gaming
• Some experience in marketing or promotional activity (experience with Digital Marketing or CRM a bonus)

• We are looking for someone who is confident, outgoing, personable and can be the face of our business
• Everyone says it but we mean it - we want someone that has a can-do attitude, turns themselves to any task and always approaches the role with a positive vibe
• An independent and autonomous mindset - we want someone who can be given direction and then get on with it, a problem solver - fix things, help people, come up with new ideas
• Flexibility - we are a start-up and the next two years will see rapid growth and expansion across the UK, there will be some early starts, late evenings, weekends. You are will be part of the founding team so it’s down to you to make it happen

• Ensuring every customer has the best experience, and goes home raving to their friends.
• Bringing energy and quick thinking problems solving every session
• Managing our existing games rooms, ensuring that Virtual Reality rooms are ready for our customers - equipment is working, the room is clean & up to our high COVID standards
• Interacting with our customers, making sure everything is taken care of, training them on how to use the equipment
• Managing any customer issues in a professional and timely manner
• Interacting with our partners (venue owners) ensuring we have a strong relationship. Making sure that any issues are quickly resolved, offering training & support to their staff
• Supporting our Marketing & promotional activity
• Testing new gaming hardware & software
• Acting as the first point of technical support between our suppliers, venues and customers
