EVENTS IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

The Exam Centre, Ireland’s Premier venue for delivering Computer Based and Paper-based exams are looking for an Event IT Support Technician to join our expanding team to assist with the smooth delivery and operation of Computer/Paper Based Exam Events in Dublin and at various venues across the country providing an exceptional customer experience.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Leaving Certificate or equivalent. A+, / Network+, Windows qualifications.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT role.

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS

Fluent English
Full Irish/European Clean Driving Licence required and essential.

Responsibilities

Work with the Events Manager and Technical Director ensuring all events are successfully supported.
Assist with the delivery, set up, preparation and tear down of computer equipment in venues in Dublin and countrywide.
Act collaboratively with event hosts before, during and after events.
Installation, maintenance, updating and deployment of Windows 10/11 PCs and Windows 2016/2019 Server environments in our sites across Ireland, ensuring optimal performance.
Assist with the setup and maintenance of network equipment, including Routers and Switches ensuring our network infrastructure is secure, running smoothly, and appropriately backed up.
Troubleshooting and resolving computer problems, including network connections, printer issues, software updates, and hardware failures.
Coordinate the installation of devices with appropriate vendors.
Assist with maintaining the Head Office stores and all equipment on site under the direction of the Technical Director.
Provide remote, email and telephone support and troubleshooting to our installation sites.
Maintain a stock inventory system.
Adhere to strict IT policies and standards.
Assist in any ad hoc requests made by the Technical Director and Managing Director in line with the delivery of exam events.
It will be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours, including some weekends from time to time. Allowances will be made for any extra hours worked.
