Job Details Job Location: MD - Ridgewells Headquarters - Bethesda, MD Position Type: Seasonal Education Level: High School Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 Hourly Job Shift: Any Job Category: Customer Service Description The Events Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for off-site kitchen operations, managing a team of culinary professionals, and overseeing the production of food at off-site events and functions. The Kitchen Supervisor has a commitment to producing high quality food, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities include, but not limited to: Supervise the operations of an off-site kitchen including equipment set-up, food check-in, food preparation, cooking, and presentation Manage a culinary team including kitchen assistants and pantry, in the execution of off-site events and functions Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes Ensure all food products are prepared and served in accordance with industry standards and health and safety regulations Work with a variety of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and presentation styles Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Collaborate with catering sales and event management teams to plan and execute successful events Attend and participate in company meetings and training sessions to stay informed of company policies, procedures, and initiatives Stay current on trends and incorporate new techniques and methods into daily operations Mentor and train new employees, to help them grow and succeed Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Kitchen Supervisor in a large-scale catering operation, or similar role Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team of culinary professionals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe, Food Protection Manager)
