Summary/Objective  The Event Lead position is responsible for providing hospitable service for clients and exhibiting high standards to all guests and staff. This includes constant communication with the Event Coordinator, completing tasks surrounding private events, and giving guests the best Big Grove has to offer. Essential Functions  1. Prepare the event space for smooth execution of events. 2. Conduct pre-shifts to all departments to ensure everyone is on the same page. 3. Attend weekly event meetings to go over upcoming events and assign tasks. Work independently and as a team to achieve these tasks.  4. Communicate and coordinate events with the full taproom team. 5. Understand event pricing and clients needs, preferences and vision for their event. 6. Address unexpected challenges professionally- must be able to problem solve. 7. Close out events efficiently and accurately.  8. Must be able to see the big picture and strategically align events with overarching goals. Competencies 1. Strong Communication 2. Works closely with Back of the House Leadership to ensure all needs, requests, and happenings are being communicated.  Work Environment This position operates in a hospitality/ brewery environment. This role routinely uses cleaning supplies and point of sale terminal systems.  Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  Position Type and Expected Hours of Work  This is a part-time position and hours of work/days may vary from week to week.  Schedules will be posted one month prior to allow time for employees to be informed of work requirements. Floor shifts will be given to supplement hours. Event Lead must have full-time status or pursuing full-time status. The business is open 7 days a week during many day parts.  Weekday and daytime availability are preferred.  Travel None Preferred Education and Experience 1. High school diploma or equivalent 2.
