Position Summary: ​​OceanX Education is seeking an Event Management Intern to support the 2026 OceanX Summit, a flagship event fostering collaboration, creativity, and action for ocean conservation. Held aboard the OceanXplorer in October 2026, the Summit brings together educators, scientists, artists, policymakers, and other stakeholders to amplify diverse voices and bridge knowledge gaps. As an Event Management Intern, you will assist the project manager and event team throughout the full event lifecycle—including planning, coordination, execution, and post-event follow-up. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively across time zones with the OceanX team in New York and a wide range of internal and external partners. This is a paid opportunity. This program will run from July through October and involves working approximately 40 hours per week. This opportunity operates on a hybrid work schedule in our Singapore office to allow for in-person meetings/collaboration. This role will require availability to overlap across time zones between our NY and Singapore offices. OceanX Education pursues its mission through a consultative, founder-partnered approach, shaping programs that align with the founder’s vision while achieving strategic and meaningful outcomes. Position Location: Singapore Duties and Responsibilities: Event Planning Support planning and delivery of the Summit, including timelines, task trackers, and coordination documents Assist with participant administration, including guest invitations, registration, scheduling, and communications Support logistics coordination through calendar management, meeting notes, and follow-ups Maintain clear, well-organized event planning records and shared folders Event Execution Assist with vendor coordination related to logistical and operational requirements Support event setup and teardown aboard the vessel Provide on-site support, including guest reception, arrivals, and ushering Support management team members traveling to Singapore from the OceanX U.S. office Assist with event reporting, surveys, and basic analysis for impact measurement Post-Event Support Support coordination of the post-event review process Collect and summarize participant survey responses and feedback Assist in tracking vendor invoices for payment processing General Support Support coordination across time zones and with internal and external stakeholders Complete additional administrative or event-related tasks as assigned Qualifications: Professional Experience:​ Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in event management, communications, education, environmental studies, or a related field Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with common productivity tools (e.g., calendars, documents, spreadsheets) Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders Willingness to support on-site event operations, including aboard a vessel ​Personal Attributes: Determined, resourceful and practical.
