JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of various events. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in event management, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. This role requires excellent communication abilities, negotiation skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure every event runs smoothly and meets client expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in event planning or management within hospitality or related fields such as hotels or restaurants.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful vendor management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Experience in budgeting for events with a focus on cost control without compromising quality.
  • Familiarity with fundraising activities is a plus for non-profit events.
  • Background in banquet service or guest services is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in time management to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events from conception to completion while managing all project phases.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and adhered to.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure the best rates and services.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events through various channels, enhancing visibility and attendance.
  • Upsell additional services or packages to clients to maximize event potential.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning process and during events.
  • Coordinate catering services, ensuring menu selections align with client preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Manage logistics including venue setup, audio/visual requirements, transportation, and guest accommodations.
  • Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
