POSITION SUMMARY:

The Event Operations Manager is responsible for the successful execution and closeout of all events at the country club. This includes managing event timelines, overseeing event staff, ensuring quality service, and coordinating all event operations from setup through breakdown. This role requires a hands-on leader who can thrive in a fast-paced, member-focused environment and is committed to providing exceptional hospitality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in event operations, banquet management, or hospitality leadership; country club or private event venue experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Working knowledge of event setups, service styles (plated, buffet, cocktail), and AV basics.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the execution of all private and club-hosted events, ensuring adherence to event timelines and member expectations.
  • Supervise and lead banquet and event staff during events, including servers, bartenders, and support team members.
  • Coordinate and execute room flips and resets between events, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Serve as the main point of contact during events for staff and vendors, resolving issues in real time.
  • Ensure compliance with all club policies and service standards during events.
  • Manage the closing process post-event, including securing the event space, completing closing checklists, and reporting any issues or incidents.
  • Communicate with the Events Team to relay feedback, special requests, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment before, during, and after events.
  • Train and mentor event staff to ensure high performance and consistent service delivery.
  • Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the event calendar.
