The Classic Arctic Ultra is widely regarded as one of the world’s toughest endurance races. Covering up to 380 miles across the frozen landscapes of the Yukon and Northwest Territories, athletes face temperatures as low as –50°C, brutal winds, and some of the most remote terrain on earth. This is the original and core race of the 66 Adventure Series, recently joined by the Northern Lights Ultra and the Weekend Warrior. In 2026 we will add the Sun Coast Ultra in Fiji and in 2027, the Belize Jungle Ultra.
We are seeking an experienced and resilient Events Manager to join our team and lead the planning, marketing and delivery of this unique event. This is a rare opportunity to be part of an international endurance challenge that pushes athletes and organisers to the limits.
THE ROLE
As Event Operations Manager, you’ll be the operational lead responsible for bringing the Arctic Ultra to life. From pre-race planning and logistics to participant onboarding and management. There is also the opportunity to be part of the team on the ground in various locations, helping to deliver once in a lifetime events and adventures (although the travel is not a requirement of the role You’ll be part of a small but dedicated team, coordinate with local communities and partners, and act as the central hub between athletes, sponsors, suppliers, and team members. This is a role for someone who thrives under pressure, loves problem-solving,and can keep calm in some of the harshest environments on the planet.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of all event logistics. Manage our social media platforms, responding to questions and queries and delivering high impact content to help generate new entrants. Manage our veteran participant community ensuring continuous and appropriate engagement. Act as primary contact for potential and onboarded participants, providing briefings and race support leading up to the event and afterwards. Oversee checkpoints, transport, supplies, and accommodation in remote locations. Manage safety and risk procedures, including liaison with medical and emergency services. Build strong relationships with local authorities, communities, sponsors, and media. Deliver post-race reporting and recommendations for future editions.
