Responsibilities

We’re looking for a driven, dynamic, and experienced full time Event Operations Manager to lead the charge in delivering high-impact events — from elite national sporting competitions and community festivals to large-scale school carnivals and everything in between.
As Event Operations Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the planning and flawless execution of events across MSAC and supporting Lakeside Stadium when required. From national sporting competitions to high-energy community events, you’ll turn bookings into dynamic operational plans, champion safety and emergency protocols, and ensure our venues are event-ready at the highest standard. You’ll be front and centre – collaborating with event organisers, sporting bodies, and venue hirers – owning the process from concept to debrief.
You’ll play a key leadership role, working closely with our Event and Bookings team and engaging directly with clients throughout the event planning process. On event days, you’ll lead and inspire a team of contractors and casual staff to deliver exceptional service, while ensuring all activities meet safety, risk, and compliance standards. You’ll drive continuous improvement, manage documentation and budgets with precision, and collaborate across departments to ensure seamless operations. As part of the SSCT team, you’ll also actively participate in training and development to help build a safe, skilled, and high-performing workplace.
