At Whittlebury Park, we are seeking an experienced Event Planner eager to elevate their career by joining our dynamic and vibrant team in managing a variety of client events.
Nestled in hundreds of acres of ancient parkland, Whittlebury offers a 254-bedroom, four-star hotel, conference and training centre, and award-winning facilities including a 3 AA Rosette restaurant, luxurious spa, and a 36-hole championship golf course.
Salary: Up to £25,396.80 based on 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

As an Event planner, you will:

  • Once bookings are confirmed by the enquiry specialist team, send a contract and start building a relationship with the client, initiating the event planning process.
  • Liaise with external providers on behalf of the client in relation to outdoor activities, entertainment, transport, and other auxiliary services required.
  • Work with clients to optimise upsell opportunities and provide knowledge and experience to ensure the events meet specific requirements
  • Create accurate event sheets for clients and updating as required, ensuring all final details and rooming lists are received by the required date.
  • Respond to all account enquiries in a prompt, efficient, and friendly manner, while adhering to company policies on contracts, terms and conditions, yield management, and payments. Carrying out follow up calls for feedback as required.
  • Meet with customers for site inspections and final detail discussions and carry out follow-up calls for feedback as required.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will possess strong time management and organisational skills, with proven experience in hospitality, including restaurant and hotel settings. Your excellent communication skills will ensure effective guest services and the ability to upsell services and products. You will have experience in event coordination and a background in providing exceptional guest experiences.
