At InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, we’re looking for an Event Planning Executive to join our Commercial team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover a period of parental leave. This pivotal role ensures that every detail of our guests’ events is flawlessly executed — from menu design and theming, to audio-visual coordination, entertainment, and accommodation arrangements. You’ll bring clients’ visions to life, transforming ideas into extraordinary and memorable experiences. About the Role Reporting to the Conference & Events Manager, you will manage the end-to-end planning and coordination of all MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) programs handed over by the Sales team. From initial concept through to execution, you’ll oversee every operational detail to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional client satisfaction. You’ll work closely with our banquet operations and culinary teams to bring each event to life, conducting pre-event briefings and post-event reviews to drive continuous improvement across our resort’s event offerings. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, creative, and client-focused professional who thrives on delivering unforgettable moments. Your Day to Day Coordinate the full planning process for meetings, conferences, and events from handover to delivery. Serve as the main contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, exceptional service, and meticulous attention to detail. Collaborate with operational teams to execute flawless event delivery across venues and guest experiences. Conduct pre-event meetings and post-event debriefs with clients, identifying opportunities for enhancement and innovation. Support the Conference & Events Manager with forecasting, reporting, and strategies to grow catering and events revenue. Manage and oversee VIP and high-profile events with professionalism and discretion. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and communication. What We’re Looking For Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Events, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an event planning or coordination role, ideally within a luxury or resort environment. Strong relationship management skills and a proactive approach to client engagement. Outstanding attention to detail and exceptional organisational ability. Experience with the sales or revenue aspects of event planning advantageous. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanour.
