DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 2 years restaurant event/sales experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years hospitality related experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills, listening skills, ability to check for understanding after direction is given (follow up,) basic math skills, strong organization skills, detail oriented, ability to multi-task, and be a team player.
  • Computer skills required (Excel, Word), CRM and Catering Software Systems. Salesforce and Tripleseat a bonus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Flexible hours: evenings, weekends and holidays may be required.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, and stoop.
  • Ability to remain stationery and work at a computer screen, or on a phone line for long periods of time.
  • Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping.
Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Meets and strives to exceed budgeted sales objectives.
  • Achieves KPI standards and aims to go beyond.
  • Weekly prospecting with outreach to prospective clients and repeat clients.
  • Identifies new business opportunities through outbound efforts.
  • Assists with team on creating sales initiatives and strategy focused on driving new and repeat business.
  • Rapport with local destination management companies, meeting & event planners, convention and visitor bureaus/associations, hotels.
  • Develop client base resulting in maximum repeat business.
  • Establish and cultivate strategic rapport with top accounts through regularly scheduled outreach, follow-up and appointments.
  • With team, ensures weekly and monthly financial reporting is accurate and completed.
  • Schedule and execute site tours.
  • Provide client with timely proposals exhibiting thorough knowledge of their needs as pertains to menu selections, beverage preferences, budget, and all aspects of event planning.
  • Responsible for creating and pricing contracts and handling payment.
  • Clear understanding of and ability to express company identity, concept, and event options.
  • Must have a basic understanding of FOH and BOH operational procedures/concerns as they relate to events.
  • Time management is organized and efficient.
  • Delivers outstanding guest service throughout all stages of the sales process including ongoing post-event follow-up to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Ability to multi-task and shift directions quickly.
  • Attends and actively participates in local professional networking event organizations and off-sites with lead follow up.
  • Flexible in approach, can readily adapt to business needs and changes.
