Event Services Manager - Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor
The iconic is seeking an Event Services Manager to join their team! This 757-room property is located next to Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Inner Harbor’s museums, the National Aquarium, and is connected to Baltimore Convention Center via skywalk!
In this role, you will be the point person on the floor for events hosted by the hotel. You will report to both the director of catering & events and the assistant director of events.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess previous hotel experience or have a strong knowledge of the service industry! We’re looking for someone who thrives in a client facing role who is comfortable collaborating with every department in the hotel in order to take ownership of guest experience.
Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work both AM and PM shifts as needed, any day of the week/weekends/holidays as needed
Pay Rate: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour [final offer based on experience], paid biweekly on Fridays

Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and supervision to affected departments and team members during the execution of meeting and/or event.
  • Directly serve on site group and catering customers in a proactive manner.
  • To organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
  • Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.
  • Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
