Job Title: Event Services Manager  Location: Chicago, IL – Onsite Job Description:  The Event Services Manager leads the Event Assistant and Coordinator team responsible for supporting sales producers and production teams in delivering exceptional events. This role ensures strong communication, operational efficiency, and seamless coordination from planning through live execution. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Event Services Manager plays a key leadership role in aligning Sales and Production teams, improving internal workflows, and developing team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service. This position is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring teams while managing complex event operations. Essential Duties | What You’ll Do: Leadership & Team Development  • Lead, train, and mentor Event Assistants and Coordinators to support professional growth and consistent execution.  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to review projects, goals, and team performance.  • Delegate responsibilities while maintaining accountability and quality standards.  • Foster a collaborative, service-focused team culture. Event Operations & Execution  • Oversee scheduling and staffing for on-site event support.  • Create and approve event pull sheets to ensure operational readiness.  • Provide on-site support during events as needed and coach team members on client management best practices.  • Ensure seamless operational support for Sales Producers and Production teams. Cross-Department Collaboration  • Serve as a key liaison between Sales and Production teams.  • Partner with production department managers to exchange updates and strengthen collaboration.  • Participate in sales meetings to remain aligned with team priorities and strategies. Process & Systems Management  • Lead implementation and use of operational platforms such as Momentus, Ungerboeck, and other event software.  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for coordination and assistant workflows.  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and service quality.  • Oversee team timekeeping functions including timecard review, payroll coordination, and time-off requests in ADP. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree required; business, operations, management, or related field preferred.  • 3–5 years of experience in event operations, project management, production coordination, or similar roles.  • Demonstrated leadership experience including training, mentoring, or supervising staff.  • Experience managing cross-functional teams or operational workflows.  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.  • Experience with event management software such as Momentus or Ungerboeck is a plus.  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.  • Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution abilities.  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
