JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a professional and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our store, staff, and customers. This role requires vigilance, a proactive approach to potential threats, and the ability to handle situations calmly and efficiently.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Security Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the security industry, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Surveillance Skills: Proficient in operating CCTV systems and conducting physical patrols.
  • Incident Management: Strong ability to handle and resolve incidents calmly and effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with customers and staff.
  • Physical Fitness: Good physical condition with the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Certification: Relevant security certifications are a plus (e.g., SIA license).
Responsibilities
  • Customer Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of customers and staff at all times.
  • Surveillance: Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols to detect and prevent theft, vandalism, and any other suspicious activities.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, coordinating with law enforcement if necessary.
  • Access Control: Manage and monitor access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Loss Prevention: Implement and follow loss prevention procedures to reduce theft and shrinkage.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and any security breaches.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with inquiries and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
