Job Details Job Location: CLEVELAND, TX 77327 Salary Range: $14.94 - $18.30 Hourly POSITION TITLE: Event Worker POSITION SUMMARY: Performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks related to event setup, support, and facility upkeep at the Cleveland Civic Center. Responsibilities include preparing event spaces, assisting clients and staff during events, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This is not a full list of job duties; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Essential Functions: Ability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules. Assists with setup and breakdown of events, including (but not limited to) arranging tables, chairs, staging, extension cords, linens, signage, and audio/visual equipment. Ensures facility cleanliness before, during, and after events including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom cleaning, and restocking supplies. Provides excellent customer service and assists event organizers, renters, and vendors with requests while maintaining professionalism. Follows event setup diagrams and instructions as provided by the Civic Center management. Reports any maintenance, safety hazards, or equipment issues to the Supervisor and notates on daily logs or forms when required. Ensures equipment and inventory are stored properly and kept in designated areas following use. Maintains a high degree of public contact, professionalism, and confidentiality. Operates facility equipment such as carts, cleaning tools, and event equipment as needed. Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Non-Essential Functions Other duties as assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION, DEGREES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND / OR LICENSES Education and Experience High School Graduate or GED equivalent required. Prior event support, custodial and/or maintenance work preferred.
