Description

Rockingham Castle has stood on the same site for nearly 950 years. It is an historic house, which is a family home but is also open to visitors and available for private bookings and events.
The Events & Operations Co-ordinator will report to the Operations Manager undertaking a wide variety of tasks which are integral to the Castle business. The role would encompass the following duties. This is a comprehensive but not finite list as the office team is a small flexible group, who have a can-do attitude to tackling any problem or task that faces them:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful applicant is likely to have some or all of the following skills:

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) – essential.
  • Competent user of a Computer – essential.
  • Hold a clean current driving license – essential.
  • To have experience in the heritage or events industry – essential
  • Be educated to degree level – desirable
  • Design of digital and printed marketing materials – desirable
  • Understanding of WordPress – desirable.
  • Understanding of Illustrator & Canva – desirable.
  • First Aid at work qualification – desirable.
Responsibilities
  • Planning, delivery and supervision of events and private hire bookings, both on the day and in the lead up. This includes all Castle and Park events, corporate bookings, weddings and private hire.
  • Arranging and leading with show rounds and meetings for private and corporate bookings.
  • Comfortable with approaching businesses to sell events and private hire at the Castle.
  • Assisting with day to day running of the Castle including office administration and enquiries.
  • Arranging and supervising school and group visits with organisers
  • Managing the Castle’s website and ticketing system in relation to open days and events.
  • Creating marketing artwork for events and Castle opening such as leaflets, adverts and other advertising materials.
  • Working with the Operations team to build the marketing plan.
  • To develop professional expertise by participating in ongoing professional development.
