About the Solomon Islands Australia Education Partnership The Solomon Islands-Australia Education Partnership (Edukeson fo iumi) program to support basic education - Stronger Education Together (SET) - aims to improve equitable school access and enhance the quality of education. The program provides funding through sector budget support to MEHRD to support infrastructure development in schools and in SINU.The program is managed under the Australia-Solomon Islands Program Support (ASIPS) Facility by DT Global. For more information, please see www.dt-global.com The Role The SET Program Management Team (PMT) is responsible for planning, implementation, coordination, day-to-day management, reporting and administration of SET, ensuring efficient and effective delivery. The Events & Communication Support Officer will work as part of the SET PMT with the SET Communications Officer and SET Administration Support Officer to coordinate communications activities, including working with MEHRD to identify, plan, and execute program events, media monitoring, drafting communications and public diplomacy products to promote the partnership between Solomon Islands and Australia, and leading logistics and coordination for public diplomacy, events, and meetings. Remuneration is based on the candidate’s skills and experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to work both collaboratively in a team, and in independently, to deliver the agreed program of work. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Understanding and willingness to learn about and apply cross-cutting development issues such as gender, anticorruption, and inclusion.
