The New River Valley Home Builders Association, Inc. (NRVHBA) is a professional trade association affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Home Builders Association of Virginia (HBAV). Since 1976, it has been dedicated to being the respected voice of Southwest Virginia’s residential and commercial building industry.

Our Association is governed by a board of directors and an executive committee representative of our region’s builder and associate membership.
We are not offering a job; we offer a vocation and a home!
The New River Valley Home Builders Association, Inc. (NRVHBA) seeks a full-time events and marketing coordinator who will work 40 hours a week. The ideal candidate will be ambitious and help the Executive Officer achieve the association’s strategic goals and objectives. The events and marketing coordinator will often work alongside the executive officer in the association office and at off-site events.
Performance Objectives are:
Ensure smooth coordination and execution of signature association events — including the Annual Home Expo, Touch-a-Truck, and member networking/education events — from concept to post-event evaluation, meeting established deadlines and quality standards.
Serving as the primary staff liaison to assigned committees, facilitating meetings, sharing timely updates, and ensuring the implementation of committee initiatives effectively.
Track expenses against budget for all assigned projects, making cost-effective decisions without compromising event quality.
Source, secure, and oversee vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and supplies in line with event requirements.
Collaborate with the Executive Officer to develop and launch new event concepts, programs, and member services that increase engagement and participation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with potential sponsors and advertisers, achieving set targets for event and publication partnerships.
Produce engaging print and digital membership materials that effectively communicate programs, benefits, and opportunities to members and the public.
Develop and execute promotional strategies (social media, email, print) to increase attendance, visibility, and brand recognition for association events.
