At the Corporate Stakeholder Engagement (CSE) department, we build trusted relationships with national and international stakeholders, including employees, governments, civil society, media, financial peers, knowledge partners, customers, and investees. By understanding and collaborating with each other, we can create a greater positive impact.
We are seeking an experienced events professional to join our department. This role involves organizing flagship events, managing our in-house studio, and strategically enhancing our convening power to facilitate positive impact.
Candidates must have extensive experience in organizing in-person, hybrid, and online events, managing design and production agencies, running multi-platform broadcasts and studio productions, and troubleshooting broadcasts and small-scale recordings.
The Event & Production Professional reports to the Director of Corporate Stakeholder Engagement.

The Events and Production role is a very diverse role. You will be responsible for different types of occasions, ranging from but not limited to:

  • Organizing our annual flagship conferences (500-750 people): Future of Finance or Future of Energy
  • Organizing our in-person All Staff events (600-800 people, twice a year)
  • Running our hybrid All Staff meetings (from our in-house Studio, twice a year)
  • Organizing our FMO Sports Day (350 people)
  • Organizing larger client convenings (in-person and/or hybrid from our in-house Studio)
  • Organizing small-scale stakeholder or customer meetings (on FMO premises or in one of our regional offices)
  • Managing productions in our recording facilities (e.g. podcasts, webinars etc)
  • Advising on smaller FMO events, organized by our respective departments or committees (e.g. staff party)

Organizing

FMO is renowned for our flagship conferences, taking a unique approach to inspire others in development finance. We host one major event annually. You will:

  • Lead the strategic design and event team, coordinating all aspects including venue, suppliers, speakers, budgets, entertainment, tech, and logistics.
  • Advise FMO’s leadership and subject matter experts, guiding them to shape impactful events.
  • Be resilient, diplomatic, detail-oriented, and maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with communication colleagues to ensure timely content release.
  • Oversee protocol and etiquette for high-level guests.
  • Draft plans, prepare decisions, and conduct post-event analyses to improve future events.

Advising & designing

You will work with people inside and outside FMO with varying event production experience. You will:

  • Manage studio production from start to finish, including hiring technical support and ensuring seamless delivery.
  • Leverage our facilities creatively, such as creating podcasts to generate excitement for upcoming webinars
  • Promote optimal use of studio facilities within FMO.
