Description Care and Share exists to ensure that the one in nine Southern Coloradans at risk of hunger have access to healthy and nutritious food to thrive. Position Summary: The main responsibility of this position is to coordinate and execute donor events. Acts as the main point of contact for all food drives. Structures and organizes development team projects. Represents Care and Share to outside groups, including speaking engagements and tabling events. Duties/Responsibilities: Collaborates with the Development team to create an annual events and campaigns calendar. Develops an action and communication plan for each event/campaign. Organizes event space, arranges food and beverages, and orders supplies as needed. Assigns tasks and provides information to team members ahead of the event/campaign. Collaborates with the Marketing and Communication team to execute communication plans. Manages RSVP lists as applicable. Works with the development team to create invitation lists. Oversees the smooth execution of event set-up, programming, and clean-up. Acts as the point of contact leading up to and during the event for staff, volunteers, vendors, and attendees. Collaborate with the Volunteer Engagement Team to train and assign volunteers to event duties. Serves as the point of contact for all third-party food drives. Answers community partners' questions about food drives. Coordinates barrel pick-ups and donation drop-offs. Collaborates with the transportation team to transport large donations as needed. Acts as the bridge between the Development Team and other Care and Share departments to ensure inter departmental collaboration. Communicates event/campaign outcomes and impact. Analyzes results and makes suggestions for improvements. Documents successes and ideas for improvement for future events/campaigns. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Planner, Forms, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Publisher, OneNote). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to pivot quickly and meet competing priorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and locations. Must be a self-starter with excellent follow through skills. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience. At least one year of event planning. One year of management experience either volunteers or paid staff Project management experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer mixed with periods of time standing and walking. Must be willing and able to work nights and weekends occasionally. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 15 lbs. regularly. Travel Requirements: Must possess a valid state issued driver's license and maintain a clean driving record. Access to a reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel is preferred. Must maintain personal automobile insurance that meets company minimum coverage requirements, if a personal vehicle is used for work-related travel. Frequent travel throughout Southern Colorado is required.
