Every event is different, but your role will always be hands-on, people-focused and key to the experience.
You’ll arrive early to help set up – making sure spaces are clean, safe and ready to welcome guests. You’ll assist caterers and contractors, support with health and safety checks, and be the go-to contact for anything on the night. You’ll greet guests at reception, provide a warm welcome and keep a close eye on visitor safety throughout the event.
Depending on the event, you might help monitor the galleries, guide guests through the space, support our public programme (like film screenings or family workshops), or assist in the museum shop. You’ll also be trained to handle the unexpected – from minor technical hiccups to calmly dealing with alarms or safety issues.
Whatever the task, your calm approach, eye for detail and commitment to great customer service will make the difference between a good event and a great one.
