Responsibilities
  • Oversee the booking and servicing of catering events for the hotel, as well as group events booked by others
  • Manage all aspects of client liaison and continuously build new client relationships within the marketplace
  • Work with both group business and private clients to plan every detail of events
  • Ownership for the conversion and management of assigned enquiries
  • Conducts compelling show rounds to win the business
  • Works with banqueting/kitchen teams to review and update strategy with a dynamic approach
  • Proactively resolicits previous c lient s and event bookers for future opportunities
  • Supports the Director of Events by completing weekly/monthly tasks to include but not limited to; catering forecast, events pipeline, sales strategy meeting
  • Plans and attends in meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but not exclusive to: Group Resume Meeting, Banquet Event Order Meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings, planning visits, and menu tastings
  • Act as the liaison for all vendor/supplier related to clients needs ( ie Audio Visual , Florists, DMC, etc )

What You Bring :

  • Previous experience as an Events Manager within a 5-star hotel or luxury restaurant
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members
  • Superb attention to detail and a drive to deliver exceptional standards consistently
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, capable of nurturing, developing, and inspiring staff
  • Proven experience in training and developing team members to achieve their full potential
  • Excellent personal presentation and a professional demeanour
  • Solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentat ions and to facilitate meetings
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
