Position: Events Coordinator
Location: Brandon Chamber of Commerce, Brandon MB
Position Summary
The Brandon Chamber of Commerce is seeking an enthusiastic, organized and personable Events Coordinator to plan, coordinate and execute the various annual Chamber Events.
Duties
-
Plan, execute and manage all Chamber fundraising, networking and educational events, coordinating speakers and agendas, and working with external contractors.

Develop and manage all marketing activities related to events.

Prepare budgets, manage expenses, create reports to summarize event success and highlights.
-
Research, develop and implement new events in coordination with Chamber Team.

Develop all event related communications including printed publications, manage and update Chamber Social Media Platforms and Website.
Essential Qualifications
-
Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline, Degree or Diploma in business, marketing, communication or event management, is preferred.

Related experience in planning, organizing and executing successful events, marketing and social media management or website maintenance.
Required Skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Share point)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills.
-
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines.

Experience with Canva, Hootsuite, Mailchimp Online Platforms
