Job Type: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 17.00, 37.5 hours per week

Steve Vick International (SVI) is dedicated to delivering cost-saving, innovative solutions for damaged, redundant, or outdated underground pipework. Since its foundation in 1981, SVI has been at the forefront in developing products and techniques for the repair, renovation and decommissioning of pipes. Predominantly our work has been in the gas industry but increasingly we are undertaking projects in the water and nuclear sectors.
We are seeking a highly organised and articulate individual to join our team as an Events Coordinator. In this new role, you will play a key part in delivering our events and tradeshows, ensuring they reflect and uphold the integrity of the SVI brand and its core values. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a diverse range of events and sectors – including gas, water, and nuclear – as well as internal engagement initiatives.

ABOUT YOU:

We are seeking a highly motivated marketing professional with a genuine passion for event planning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
· 1–3 years’ experience in an event management role.
· A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Marketing or Event Management.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
· Experience in liaising with external agencies and exhibition stand contractors.
· A creative approach with a keen eye for detail.
· Proven success in delivering events within a fast-paced environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively.
· Confidence in working independently and juggling multiple events simultaneously.
· Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
· Experience managing event budgets and working within financial parameters.
· A solution-oriented mindset with adaptability under pressure.
· Familiarity with event planning tools or CRM systems (desirable).
· An understanding of how to measure and evaluate event success.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver all external and internal company events, including trade shows, stand-down days, demonstration days, conferences, and key internal events such as the annual Business Update, Christmas Party and On-Site Demonstration Days, ensuring alignment with brand and business goals.
  • Chair the internal Steve Vick Social Committee, ensuring regular meetings are scheduled, minutes are recorded and distributed, and follow-up actions are completed.
  • Create and manage detailed event project timelines, ensuring all tasks, milestones, and deadlines are met.
  • Schedule and lead planning meetings with relevant stakeholders to coordinate responsibilities and ensure smooth event execution.
  • Manage all administrative aspects of events, including stand bookings, form submissions, ordering electricity and furniture, hotel reservations, completing online exhibitor profiles and catalogue entries, and preparing risk assessments.
  • Liaise with venues and suppliers to coordinate catering, AV requirements, internet access, health and safety compliance, and other logistical needs.
  • Coordinate logistics for SVI speakers and presenters, including travel, accommodation, and on-site support.
  • Design stand layouts for larger events, ensuring effective product display and alignment with brand identity.
  • Manage bespoke stand builds in collaboration with external stand builders, including graphics production and installation.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Content Executive to produce high-quality branded graphics and materials for use at events.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all event-related materials, communications, and displays.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure all equipment and demonstration hardware is available, in good condition, and fit for purpose.
  • Oversee all event logistics, ensuring equipment is delivered to site on time and installations are completed to the required standard.
  • Be able to drive a van to transport equipment to and from events and assist with on-site set-up and breakdown where necessary.
  • Organise and manage the packing of equipment, coordinating internal team members to assist as needed.
  • Attend and provide hands-on support at events, acting as the main logistical contact and ensuring smooth on-site delivery.
  • Handle event-related enquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
  • Track and manage event budgets, maintaining accurate records within the annual budget tracker.
  • Assist with pre-event and post-event marketing activities, including email campaigns through Mailchimp and coordination with the wider marketing team.
  • Produce post-event reports with feedback, attendance figures, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Source and procure branded promotional merchandise and clothing, ensuring all items are on-brand, within budget, and delivered on time.
  • Manage stock levels of promotional materials and reorder items as required.
  • Support sustainability efforts by using eco-friendly materials and suppliers and minimising waste at events.
