JOB OVERVIEW:

Dinner Ladies is seeking a reliable and flexible Freelance Back of House Driver to join our team. The role involves transporting catering equipment, food, and supplies to and from event locations, as well as assisting with back of house operations during events. Shifts will primarily be during evenings and weekends.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. (over 25yrs only)
  • Experience driving vans or similar vehicles, ideally for events or catering.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional late nights.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in events, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities
  • Safely drive company vans to transport equipment, food, and supplies to event locations and return them to our base after events.
  • Load and unload vans efficiently, ensuring that all items are securely packed and transported.
  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff with setting up and maintaining back of house areas, including preparing ingredients, managing inventory, and organizing supplies.
  • Support the warehouse manager picking, packing and loading/unloading vans
  • Washing up of catering equipment on site.
  • Support front of house staff with equipment needs during events.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are accounted for and properly stored after each event.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, as well as back of house areas.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after events.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
