POSITION SUMMARY:

This dual-role position combines the leadership and coordination of an Events Lead with the hands-on, service-driven responsibilities of a Banquet Captain. You’ll serve as the key point of contact for clients and vendors, oversee event logistics, and lead front-of-house operations during events. This is a dynamic role for someone who can manage both behind-the-scenes planning and guest-facing service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in event coordination, banquet service, or hospitality leadership
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, delegate tasks, and respond to last-minute changes
  • Knowledge of banquet-style service and event flow
  • Comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Bonus: Experience with weddings, corporate events, or luxury venues
Responsibilities
  • Act as venue liaison for clients and vendors on event day
  • Communicate logistics including timelines, floorplans, staffing, rentals, and vendor communications
  • Lead the banquet team in setup, service, and teardown of events
  • Provide clear direction to serving staff, ensuring all service standards are met
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues calmly and efficiently during live events
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, presentation, and guest service
  • Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Oversee inventory and readiness of event supplies and serviceware
