The hotel provides the international business community with space for up to 3000 delegates across 33 meeting rooms. It accommodates both business and leisure guests in one of our 630 bedrooms. Job Description The Events Manager is responsible for supervision and participation, administering the banquet operation and the servicing of the banqueting function held in the banqueting rooms, exhibition center and other designated areas. The Event Manager will be responsible for attaining budgeted revenues and for the overall supervision of the banqueting staff, whilst ensuring that all duties are carried out in accordance with Novotel standards and legal requirements. Responsibilities include: To present a professional, friendly and efficient impression of the Hotel at all times To establish a good working relationship with your guest, visitors and colleagues creating a team that works well together and with other departments To be fully conversant with all facilities and services of the Novotel London West To ensure continuity, quality of service and product, reviewing and updating as necessary service methods and products to maintain our competitive edge To ensure that sufficient equipment, china, glass and cutlery are available to cope with banqueting demands To record the cost of casual labour, flowers, equipment, rental, commission and other expenses in order to be able to approve all monthly invoices To supervise all functions To directly supervise all MICE staff; to control staff rotas and monitor shifts to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained for business demands Qualifications Previous work experience as Events Manager in a 4 - 5 star hotel Excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills Proven commercial acumen through previous roles Fluent in English - spoken & written Must be legally eligible to work in UK Additional Information As part of our team you can have: Discounted hotel rates all over the world in Accor Hotels Continuously learn and develop yourself with our Accor Academy Support your wellbeing in your professional and personal lives Grow your experience anywhere.
