This is a fast‑paced position where your planning, relationship management, and risk mitigation skills will make a real difference. What to Expect As Events Manager, you will oversee the Prime Minister’s domestic visits programme, including strategic planning and forward scheduling. You will undertake advance work and event management to ensure smooth delivery of all engagements, travelling with the Prime Minister as required to provide on‑the‑ground support. Building strong relationships with Ministerial offices, Members of Parliament, agencies, and event organisers nationwide will be central to your success. You will also work closely with the Prime Minister’s media team to align events with communications and policy priorities. You will need strong organisational skills, the ability to manage tight deadlines, and the flexibility to respond quickly to changing circumstances. Interpersonal skills are critical, as the role involves engaging confidently with Ministers, MPs, stakeholders, and community groups, while earning the trust of those at the highest levels of Government. An understanding of media and public communications will also be valuable, as you will support press teams to manage publicity and facilitate coverage of events. Candidates should ideally bring experience in ministerial or political environments, with a track record of managing large‑scale national or regional events. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, particularly in preparing briefings, event notes, and speech materials. The role demands resourcefulness, adaptability, and sound judgment to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring events are delivered to the highest standard.
