REMOTE WORKING WITH OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO OFFICE AND TRAVEL TO EVENTS WORLDWIDE. (SOUTH EAST BASED)

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-driven individual to join our rapidly growing events business.

We are looking for a full-time Event Manager to join our Event Delivery Team. Reporting to the Director of Events & Customer Engagement, you need to be a confident, innovative candidate with a positive attitude and proven experience in end-to-end event management in the UK and overseas.
This role would be suitable for someone with a minimum 3 year’s full operational event management experience including working in the USA and Europe.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of an event from the booking and planning stage all the way through to delivery and post-event follow up.
You are comfortable managing external vendors and suppliers and enjoy working on your own or as part of the wider team.
We have a high number of events every week and being able to multitask in a very fast paced environment is key. You must be used to working to tight deadlines.

YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • Monday to Friday, work from home
  • Our standard working hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday - Thursday and 09:00 - 16:00 on Friday but there will be a requirement to work outside these hours on events
  • Many of our events are in the evenings, occasionally at the weekend, frequent travel in the UK (predominately London), overnight stays required including US and Europe destinations. (Covid Vaccination may be required)
  • 6 weekly team meet ups are required in either London/Bath
  • Unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship for this position so all candidates must have the right to work in the UK and to visit EMEA and North America.

    Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • End to end operational event management for virtual roundtables, dinners, breakfast briefings, track days, Wembley days and residential summits
  • Taking full responsibility and accountability for the management of assigned events
  • Prepare and manage all event documentation – project plans, event schedules and delegate materials
  • Set, manage and monitor event budgets
  • Main point of contact for clients, setting up regular meetings, acquiring materials and keeping up to date on planning
  • Venue finding and supplier management in UK, Europe and US destinations
  • Manage external vendors and suppliers – sourcing, negotiating rates and contracting
  • Sponsor liaison on larger events
  • Working closely with the department head, ensuring the team offers knowledgeable and efficient customer service taking in to account the customer’s needs
  • Working closely with the Sponsorship and Delegate teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide regular analysis on event attendance, feedback, attendee demographics and other statistics
  • Research and present experiences which innovate existing offerings, staying up to date in the events industry
  • Support the Director of Events as required
  • Currently there is no line management for this role however as we grow this will possibly change

YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Proven operational event experience (including overseas experience) with a minimum of 3 years as an Event Executive /Manage.
  • You will have experience sourcing, negotiating, contracting, programme planning, onsite event management, budget management and final reconciliation
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and timelines
  • B2B event experience including Virtual events
  • Knowledge of UK, Europe and US venues for dinners, breakfast briefings and conferences
  • Experience of updating event budgets, keeping within budget, and showing negotiated savings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated and flawless time management
  • Proactive problem solver and agile mindset – embraces change
  • Able to work well under pressure with minimal supervision and maintain high standards and attention to detail
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Packages and experience using a virtual meeting platform (Zoom)
  • Understanding of AV production
  • Remains calm and professional under pressure
  • Hard-working and enthusiastic
  • Excellent written and spoken English is a must.
