  • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or Business.
  • Minimum of one to three years content development, and event management experience required. Experience in the electronics industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of connector market, processes and applications preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Self-motivated & positive attitude with great energy.
  • Possess excellent communication skills (oral and written) to work with both external and internal customers. Able to clearly and concisely communicate across different cultures.
  • Possess good market sense and capable of making decisions.
  • Ability to resolve issues and escalate in a timely fashion.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products required.
  • Excellent presentation skills including creating PowerPoint presentations.
  • Position may require more than 50% “In Office” hybrid schedule depending upon event preparation workload.

Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, the candidate will have experience with planning, organizing, and executing event marketing. The target of these events are to promote Hirose’s products, services, and reinforce the Hirose brand in the Interconnect space. As part of the role, this person will also be involved with strategic content creation and possess a strong sales-oriented approach. Building productive and collaborative relationships with team members and proactively providing and seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback from the teams you are working with.

  • Building and executing the annual industry event roadmap for the organization.
  • Support the prospecting and review with our Segment and Product teams of other potential industry events we could participate in at a future time.
  • Develop marketing plans for events, coordinate promotional schedules, and ensure smooth execution of industry events.
  • Support the marketing and promotion of Hirose’s participation in events. This includes development of content materials like support literature, digital ads, press materials, social media content, and supporting the development of video content with our video production specialist. Experience working with HubSpot is a positive.
  • Cultivate a strong collaborative network of internal relationships to identify appropriate resources to execute on strategies by gaining the trust and confidence of the business leaders and close coordination with external event specific partners.
  • Ensure contacts that are gathered from events are converted and implemented into the organization’s lead generation / lead follow-up processes.
  • Support measurement analytics to create reports on the effectiveness of all events across regional and global events. Use this reporting insight to foster development of future programs.
  • Building, monitoring, and reporting on a strategic budget to support all required activities included in the annual fiscal programs.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the products and services, competition, industry, and brand positioning goals of Hirose.
  • Support sales “Lunch & Learns”, customer specific shows, and HR recruiting events.
