Our Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand team is responsible for conveying the essence of Emirates Group and our team is pivotal in representing the attitudes, beliefs and goals of our organisation across the globe, both internally and with our customers alike.


As an Events Officer (12 Month Contract), you will be responsible to plan and coordinate the daily operations of events within the Group's event portfolio. This involves working closely with a cross-functional, integrated marketing communications team to ensure that all events align with and support the Group's overall marketing strategies.


In this role, you will be responsible to;


  • Assist the Events Manager and Events Specialist in managing the events calendar and projects, from the planning stage to on-site execution.
  • Facilitate the invitation process and registration, coordinate on-ground logistics and transportation, source appropriate business promotional cabin crew, arrange hotel accommodations for VIP guests, manage the hospitality guest list, and handle all other necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth operation of events.
  • Ensure that brand and business messages are clearly integrated into all aspects of events, including on-site branding and activation, maintaining a consistent approach and adherence to approved brand guidelines.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective use of departmental budgets and timely delivery of services.
  • Coordinate with both internal and external parties and departments, such as Creative Services, Marketing Operations, PR, and Visual Services, to ensure the timely delivery of all event deliverables and elements in accordance with the global brand strategy, events calendar, and regional marketing communications strategy. This includes implementing the defined social media strategy as appropriate.
  • Manage supplier performance to ensure they meet corporate standards and cost control measures, ensuring high-quality delivery in line with corporate expectations.
  • Act as a consultant to advise and guide outstations or Business Units on local requirements and expectations for events, ensuring compliance with the global events strategy and regional marketing communications strategy.
  • Complete pre-event and post-event reports with recommendations for improvements, providing a full evaluation of the initiative or activity. Ensure that feedback, ideas, and issues are communicated to the Events team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the systems used by the Events team and company for various requirements, including AGILE, IPROC, Aurora, invitation systems, and OneDrive.
  • Maintain organized documentation of each project, ensuring smooth functioning of all activities and keeping records in a shared OneDrive for easy access and retrieval.

Qualification


To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements;


  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing & Media Communication or other related disciplines.
  • Proven marketing experience in multi-national organisation, handling events; Experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Must have professional knowledge of the event work in a multi-national company.
  • The jobholder must be a proficient communicator and negotiator.
  • Must be an adaptable individual, must work exceptionally well under pressure to meet exacting deadlines and high volume.
  • Must also be able to project manage events and simultaneously manage a variety of issues.
  • Additionally, a highly competent organiser with the ability to prioritise objectively is required.
  • Supervisory skills are also required since the jobholder needs to effectively be able to get results of the suppliers staff during an event.
