Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Events Officer at IWM, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-profile events that showcase our exhibitions, collections, and mission. Working across IWM’s five sites, you’ll support the Events Manager in planning and executing a wide range of stakeholder and development events — from exhibition openings and executive dinners to donor receptions and commemorative occasions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’ll be at the heart of our events operation, ensuring every detail is considered and every guest experience is exceptional. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Events Manager in developing event briefs and coordinating logistics with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Collaborating with in-house and third-party caterers to create tailored menus.

  • Preparing briefing notes for senior stakeholders.
  • Supervising staff, volunteers, and contractors during events.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and museum teams.
