THIS ROLE IS FIXED-TERM - 12 MONTHS IN THE FIRST INSTANCE

The Events Officer will play a key role in planning and executing a large-scale annual communications and marketing events programme for The Faculty of Engineering Sciences focusing on the following departments:

  • UCL Chemical Engineering
  • UCL Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (CEGE)
  • UCL Security and Crime Science (SCS)

The post-holder will be expected to collaborate with colleagues across the Faculty of Engineering Sciences Marketing and Communications team, and in UCL Chemical Engineering, CEGE, and SCS, developing a strong understanding of their objectives and key audiences, and ensuring events support these.
The post holder will coordinate event registrations and attendees, engaging attendees through pre- and post-event communications, and ensuring events meet attendees’ needs and create memorable experiences and accurately manage budgets and professional suppliers.

THIS ROLE DOES NOT MEET THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR A SKILLED WORKER VISA CERTIFICATE OF SPONSORSHIP UNDER UK VISAS AND IMMIGRATION LEGISLATION. THEREFORE, UCL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SPONSOR INDIVIDUALS WHO REQUIRE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK TO CARRY OUT THIS ROLE.
