Job Details Job Location: MD - Ridgewells Headquarters - Bethesda, MD Position Type: Seasonal Education Level: High School Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.00 Hourly Job Shift: Any Job Category: Customer Service Description The Event Pantry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the event kitchen area, stocking and organizing food and supplies. Setting up and breaking down event space. RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities include, but not limited to: Keep the pantry area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies and food items. Set up catering and event service according to the event. Arrange and organize all the supplies received for the event such as plates, glasses, etc. Clean and sanitize equipment, work surfaces, and the general pantry area. This includes sweeping, mopping, and managing waste. Adhere to all food safety regulations for handling, storage, and temperature control. Assist employees with their requests for pantry supplies. Break down and clean area after the conclusion of the events and return equipment to accurate storage Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in catering in similar role is a plus. Strong organizational skills, with an ability to keep the pantry clean and organized. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of basic food safety principles, including proper storage and handling of perishable items. Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify and address issues as they arise. Ability to take direction and work in a team environment and to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized. This position will spend 100% of the time standing or walking. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending.
