Description

Job Brief: The Events Senior Manager will be a leader on the events team, collaborating with department heads to understand TTF’s current and long-term goals, objectives and strategies. Develops and implements event team processes and systems to ensure effective execution of a wide range of events throughout the calendar year. The Events Senior Manager will be a productive and stabilizing leader who effectively manages events and team for the most impact for our MVPs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years of experience in fundraising, sponsorships, marketing, events, or in a related area
  • Proven experience and thorough understanding of executing complex events; golf/sporting related events a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, business, marketing, public relations, event management, or a related field of study
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize work
  • Prior experience working within a fundraising software, such as Raisers Edge, Hub Spot, and/or Classy preferred
  • Ability to identify and solve problems in a timely manner
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, great attention to detail, ability to process and maintain confidential information, and develop strong relationships with both internal and external constituencies
  • Light to moderate lifting, as needed
  • Ability to travel for onsite execution as needed during the year

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates all proposed events to determine feasibility, ensuring the anticipated revenue and impact justifies the required time, effort, and resources.
  • Works with external and internal stakeholders to confirm event goals and objectives and confirm signed MOU, along with contract.
  • Creates and manages overall department budget, including a buffer for miscellaneous or emergent event opportunities.
  • Lead and manage a team of event professionals and contractors.
  • Develops and implements team processes and systems to ensure effective execution.
  • Leads the planning and execution of flagship fundraising events and other large-scale events.
  • Understands and intimately knows the TTF language, events, and communication model. Guides new staff in TTF’s event execution and external communication style.
  • Builds staffing plans for events and assigns Event Managers, Coordinators, and Contractors based on bandwidth and individual strengths/talents.
  • Develop and manage event strategies & planning.
  • Manage event project timelines and resource allocation
  • Perform additional duties as necessary
