Description
Responsibilities include but not limited to: * Manage or assist in the planning and executing of corporate, branch or client events including the venue selection, hiring security and talent, caterers, speakers, vendors and participants, inventory and securing of equipment and the layout/decorations for the event. * Manage event calendar in tandem with existing corporate calendar and ancillary bank programs. * Prepare event presentations for approval. Prepares event budget and gains Executive approval. * Manages event to budget. * Visit, negotiate best price and secures event spaces. * Coordinate and monitor timelines and ensure deadlines are met. * Initiate, coordinate and/or participate in all efforts to publicize events. * Assist with the design and editing of promotional materials. * Work with the Marketing department to design and/or develop event invitations, send invites and manage the RSVP lists. * Coordinate event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre/post-event evaluations. * Update the Marketing intranet site by posting informative updates and announcements. * Act as a point of contact between Executives, Senior Management, and internal/external clients. * Act as a brand ambassador for Valley National Bank at all times. * Cultivate banking relationships in order to expand Valley National Bank. Qualifications Required Skills: * High energy, enthusiastic. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. * Excellent creative and conceptual thinking abilities. * Willingness to present in front of groups or on video. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. * Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft SharePoint. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite considered a plus. * Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, presentation, facilitation and influencing skills. * Strong attention to detail. * Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments. Required Experience: * High School Diploma or GED. * 2 years of experience in event planning. * Bachelor's degree or higher in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality or relevant field preferred. * Prior experience in a Corporate environment, preferred. Required Certifications - Licenses: Valid Driver's License
