The Test Automation Lead is a senior technical role responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of automation test frameworks in various levels of the testing pyramid. This role is pivotal in ensuring the robustness and efficiency of testing practices across product engineering teams. The Test Automation Lead will also play a key role in upskilling and mentoring engineers throughout the organization to maintain and enhance the testing tools and processes in place. What you'll do. Design, build and evolve scalable automated testing frameworks that enable efficient, reliable testing. Define and embed best-practice automated testing strategies across platforms and environments. Partner closely with product and engineering teams to integrate automation into the development lifecycle. Optimise automated test execution for speed, stability and meaningful coverage. Provide hands-on support to teams by identifying, isolating and resolving issues uncovered through automation. Coach and mentor engineers on automated testing techniques, framework maintenance and coding best practices. Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to uplift testing capability across teams. Lead quality assurance initiatives and champion high standards of code quality and testing. Track and report testing metrics and outcomes to inform product quality and release readiness. Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies and industry trends to improve testing effectiveness and efficiency. Requirements 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automated testing. Expertise in automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, etc. Strong experience and knowledge of agile team practices and delivery. Experience with programming languages such as .NET, JavaScript etc. Experience working with web and mobile product engineering teams. Proven track record of developing scalable and efficient automated test infrastructures. Strong leadership skills and experience in training and mentoring others.
