As a critical member of the Everyday Banking Portfolio leadership team, you will ensure there is clear alignment of the EDB Strategy and Propositions to Divisional objectives and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities:

Developing innovative propositions and customer solutions to deepen customer engagement, improve business performance and drive main financial institution growth
Creating financial business case scenarios to evaluate feasibility of product propositions
Optimising existing customer journeys and improving our customer’s experience to ensure our propositions remain relevant and competitive
Identify, design and deliver key customer capability / proposition needs
Role Accountabilities

Develop and continually refine the EDB Product Proposition and Roadmaps
Engage with Senior Stakeholders across Australia Retail to develop innovative propositions in line with the EDB Strategy and communicate the progress
Provide input to benefits realization planning and reviews at key program stages to ensure ongoing viability as a key part of the planning process
Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, other business units and key stakeholders; anticipating and responding to evolving customer needs
Profitability analysis / performance monitoring and optimisation
Customer proposition development
Market insights, analysis and bench marking
Commercialisation of opportunities
Monitor and optimize financial performance
Identify, design and deliver key customer capability / proposition needs
Excels at fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment and leading, motivating and developing team members, including in a matrixed environment

Relationship Management
Provide strong people leadership and mentorship to develop the team and facilitate a supportive team environment to ensure the team are engaged and able to deliver on EDB’s purpose
Develop a network of strong relationships across ANZ
Develop strong stakeholder relationships (within ANZ including with senior/executive stakeholders) and maintain effective communication channels to effectively resolve issues and remove barriers to success
Key Interactions
ANZ senior/executive stakeholders across Retail and Commercial Divisions, Group Technology, Risk, Finance, Legal etc

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Demonstrated experience or knowledge of deposit, cards and personal loans products
Proven expertise in managing and analysing P&L and identifying revenue growth and cost-efficiency opportunities
Proven commercial acumen, highly numerate and demonstrated data-driven decision making
Customer focus: defines and measure success through the eyes of the customer and banker, anticipates, understands and responds to evolving customer need
Portfolio Economics: Knowledge of portfolio levers and the ability to generate performance insights from behavioural data to identify and model growth opportunities.
Data Interpretation: Using data and reporting to draw insights to problem solve and/or inform business or customer decisions.
Data Analysis - Translating data into insights and using it to make better business decisions and to deliver customer/user centric solutions
Ability to develop and mentor the team as well as building a network of strong relationships across the bank.
Demonstrated experience working closely with senior stakeholders both internally and externally (boards and regulators)
Effective communicator, effectively resolve issues and remove barriers to success
Commercial acumen, experience working closely with group strategy, finance, operations, risk, finance and legal
Adept at fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment and leading, motivating and developing team members
Resilience and a fast-paced approach with a strong growth mindset
