THE ROLE

Are you ready to make a difference in the justice system? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Prosecution Support Unit within the Prosecution and Victim Services Department as an Evidential and Court Preparation Administrator. As part of our dedicated team, you’ll collaborate closely with the Crown Prosecution Service and His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring effective communication and coordination between various units and counter agencies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You will undertake a range of clerical duties to support and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided. This will include preparing charge files, postal requisitions and processing information to ensure all files are up to date.
  • To support the flow of information between the Force, HMCTS and Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), you will input and extract data from computer systems, meeting required deadlines and ensuring a smooth process for all.
  • Using your strong communication skills, you will respond to enquiries from both internal and external parties, ensuring they are referred or redirected to the relevant staff, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • You will assist in preparing remand hearings (Please note this will involve Saturday morning working on a rota basis roughly 1 in 3 weekends).
