Description Job Summary: Perform various housekeeping functions, cleaning, sanitation, and other housekeeping functions observing high-sanitation and safety standards in accordance with hospital policies and procedures as well as State and Federal laws. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform cleaning procedures of patient rooms and common areas throughout the Operating Room. Maintain adequate linen supply for the departments. Remove waste and soiled linens using proper disposal procedures. Operate housekeeping mechanical equipment. Final Terminal, Terminal and Turnover of Operating Rooms. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: As assigned. KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES: Ability to read, write, and speak English preferred. AGE-RELATED COMPETENCIES: Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position. Information Management: Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security. Risk Management/Quality Management/Safety: Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations. MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education – High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Work Experience – Prior cleaning experience in an institutional setting preferred. Training – License/Certification – ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
