Job Details Job Location: Summit Medical Center - Edmond, OK 73013 Position Type: Full Time Summit Medical Center is looking for an EVS Tech Supervisor to join our Quality Care Team. Position Summary: Responsible for daily management and supervision of the EVS team, and assists the EVS Manager in department management. EVS responsibilities include: linen, biohazardous waste management, EVS services. As a member of the EVS supervision team, the EVS Tech Supervisor may be required to assist in other areas of facility management as requested by the EVS Manager. Also, as a supervisor, this individual will be required to assist in the daily work load and other assigned duties, as well as to monitor the EVS staff to maintain full compliance with all policies and procedures. The staffing of Summit Medical Center is based on a teamwork concept. Employees may be cross-trained in other administrative areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones as staffing and patient needs change. Responsibilities: Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Plans, directs, and assigns the work to be completed by the EVS staff and Floor Care Technicians, and documents completion through daily reports. Observes the quality of EVS employees by conducting monthly inspections of areas of responsibility. Meets with EVS Manager monthly or as needed to ensure that areas are properly maintained .Conducts training sessions on subjects related to EVS. Maintains accurate records of shift assignments, quality control issues & infection control Protocols. Works in conjunction with EVS Manager and Infection Control to ensure adequate disinfection practices are implemented and enforced. Maintains records of special cleaning projects. Maintains department records, reports, and files as required. Maintains and cares for department equipment and supplies. Participates in educational programs and in service meetings. Works with EVS Manager & Director on department budget including monitoring. Ability to operate all machines used by EVS staff, including floor machines Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Maintains confidentiality of patient and center related business. Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with patients, families, visitors and other center employees Documents concisely, precisely and accurately on all records or documents as indicated by policy. Participates in Quality Assessment activities as directed for the continuous improvement of patient care and center business.
