Multiple positions available – seeking flexible availability from 9th – 20th June 2026 (weekend and evening shifts also available) Paid training will commence the week beginning 18th May 2026 HE02 Step 1 - $47.65 per hour plus Superannuation About the opportunity The Examination Supervision Officer works with the Exams Office in Student Administration Services (SAS) and will take a hands-on approach facilitating the efficient running of examinations in accordance with the policy and procedures of the University. The Examination Supervision Officer will primarily assist with the supervision of centrally managed examinations and works closely with staff in the Exams Office to support and deliver an efficient and effective exam experience to students. In this role, you will be required to provide support for students in the formal exam sessions and escalate issues to the Exams Office where and when necessary. We are seeking multiple Examination Supervision Officers to support with exams sessions throughout the year, including the upcoming examination period, which will run from 9th – 20th June 2026. This role is ideal for an individual with flexible and full availability over this 2-week period (evening and weekend shifts also available). If successful, you will also be required to undertake training components from 18th May 2026 Your key responsibilities effective administration of examination rooms, in compliance with existing procedures provide guidance to students regarding exam processes, including those utilising computer programs to conduct examinations set up of examination venues, including paperwork and computer equipment, receiving, and checking computer systems to facilitate the efficient delivery of both paper and computer-based/ Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) examinations on campus for the duration of the exam, constantly monitor examination room(s) to ensure students comply with all instructions and examination rules, and to prevent and detect academic misconduct accurately validate the identity of each student and ensure all conditions, including time restrictions, are adhered to by all candidates complete reports for any incidents or suspected misconduct cases in accordance with University policy and procedure support the activities of the portfolio to ensure compliance and service excellence to students and staff. About you capacity to remain observant for long periods, punctual and reliable, calm, and cheerful demeanour accurate and efficient administrative skills with excellent attention to detail the ability to command a room and comfortable addressing a large group of students capability to maintain continuous mobility for long periods of time and carry documentation, including examination papers between venues well-developed interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team basic computer skills and knowledge, including MS Office Suite, to assist students with computer-based examinations and navigating the online examination portal for ‘Bring your Own Device’ examinations ability to use initiative, exercise sound judgement related to role responsibility Important to note: undergraduate or postgraduate students from the University of Sydney (coursework-based students) are NOT eligible to apply.
